I don't ever do reviews, good or bad, but I have to make an exception in this case. I called Poticny Healthy Homes for what I thought was a small problem in our master bath. They were there in a matter of a few days. While Frank and Alice were there, I asked if they'd mind checking our basement. I honestly didn't expect there to be anything because it's heated and cooled. Well, Frank started getting high readings and when he looked he started showing me evidence we had not noticed before. Our entire basement had mold.

They recommended an air duct cleaning and told us what their process would be. After a huge purge of things we should have gotten rid of already, they came back to see what was left. They gave us a cost range that included wiping down walls, wood furniture, and other things that could be cleaned with their solution and spraying the floor with their mold killer. This also included a spraying of the upstairs floors out of an abundance of caution as the readings there were within safe ranges but elevated.

Then James and Randy came out and cleaned the entire basement and everything in it. The next day they sprayed the floors upstairs. The final cost came in under the low end of their original quote. After a week and a few days, Frank and Alice came back to take new readings and inspect. The readings were in a safe zone, but Frank said they'd take a look at them and let us know the next day. They decided to clean the basement one more time to try to lower the numbers. Once a second cleaning and spraying were done they waited a week and came back. Readings were lower and they were happy so we were happy.

If you want an honest company and a reasonable price from really great people, call Frank and Alice. You'll love meeting them as well as James and Randy. Real people doing really good, honest work!

We found Alice and Frank after being quoted an extremely high amount for remediation services. Our issue was potential water-related mold growth in our brand new home due to water intrusion. The previous company came in and basically told us our entire house would have to be reconstructed.

Alice was so invested on our behalf from the jump. She listened, asked questions, pinpointed our issue, and gave us a plan. She and Frank came out personally to assess the damages and collect air quality samples. Two days later we got the results and sure enough, we had mold.

Frank was knowledgeable and understanding, answering every question we had. Alice talked me down when things got overwhelming. They came and scrubbed our air and sprayed biologicals and essential oils to eradicate the mold. After additional construction work disturbed the area, they graciously came back and repeated the process. On the second attempt, we were mold free.

I cannot say enough great things about these amazing people. They were a true Godsend.

If you're looking for a mold mitigation expert who is on YOUR side, please get Frank and his crew. After my renter sent me a medical report with five different types of mold in his blood system, I was afraid of very expensive mold remediation. Frank eased my concerns by stating, "I'm here to help you, not hurt you." He conducted inexpensive air sampling throughout my historical home and followed up with remediation that cost half of what I expected.

It's refreshing to know that we still have good people like Frank and his wife, Alice, who could take advantage of homeowners and landlords trying to make a living, but do not.
